Steve Joel Rotenberry

MCCALLA -- Steve Joel Rotenberry, age 51, of McCalla, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2010, at UAB Medical West. Services will be 1 p.m. today at Mission Baptist Church in Woodstock with Rev. Jimmy Jones and Rev. Ben Corley officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Cemetery in Bessemer with Rockco Funeral Home of Centreville directing.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Rotenberry.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Rotenberry of McCalla; his sons, Adam Joel Rotenberry of West Blocton and Jimmy Knox of Vance; his daughters, Magan Rotenberry of Tuscaloosa and Miranda Knox of McCalla; his mother, Lela Rotenberry of Woodstock; his brothers, Bill Rotenberry (Sue) of Hueytown, Joe Pierson (Deborah) of West Blocton, and Bob Rotenberry of Woodstock; his sisters, Sarah Knight (Robert) of Woodstock, Sandra Syester (Kenny) of Lizton, Ind., and Libby Burns (Ronnie) of Woodstock; and his grandchildren, Thatcher Joel Rotenberry and Hunter Blake Knox.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Pierson, Ken Griffin, Jimmy Knox, Chris Curren, Lee Knight, Matt Morse, and Bryan Rotenberry.

Honorary pallbearers include his mother-in-law, Charlotte Ivey.
