Funeral services for Stuart Dean Peters, 87, of Sterlington, LA, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 20, 2010, at First Baptist Church of Sterlington with Rev. J. E. Brown and Rev. Larry Green officiating. Interment will follow at Kilpatrick's Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Mr. Peters passed away Thursday, February 18, 2010, at Cornerstone Hospital. Mr. Peters was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rote, and Barak Shrine Temple. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving in WWII.

Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his daughter, Betty Dianne Peters Parks; two sisters, Lucille Simpson and Mary Elizabeth Lee; and two brothers, M. L. Peters and Dr. W. W. Peters.

Survivors include his wife, Katherine Barlow Peters; son-in-law, Donald Wayne Parks; granddaughter, Donna Earline Parks Whitton and husband Steve; grandson, Lester Wayne Parks and wife Connie; great grandsons, David Parks, and Chase Wells and wife Samantha; great granddaughter, Crystal Martin; brother, James C. Peters; sisters, Marguerite Richardson and Eva Lois Boone; sister-in-law, Charity Bone; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Sterlington.
