HAUGHTON, LA - Services for Sue E. Johnson, 73, were held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, May 15, 1993 at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating was John Lavo, assisted by Michael Shockley. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery.
Funeral home visitation was Friday, May 14, 1993.
Mrs. Johnson died May 12, 1993 at Highland Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born in Dodson (Winn Parish) La., was a former resident of Satellite Beach, Florida and had resided in Haughton for 20 years. Mrs. Johnson graduated from Northwest School of Nursing in Shreveport and received her Masters Degree in Nursing from Milsaps College in Jackson, Miss. She served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Nurse Corps and was a retired registered nurse.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Johnson.
Survivors include her daughters, Beth Prest, Sandy Shockley, Bobbie Boykin; five grandchildren, Shannon Prest, Rob Simack, JoAnna Shockley, Sarah Prest and Kasey Shockley.
Pallbearers were Ed Darnell, Jim Scott, Lyle Kruise, Tommy Lupo, Ray Turner and Bob Monzingo.
The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Dan Moller and his staff for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Love Chapel Methodist Church, Haughton or the American Cancer Society.
