S. M. TAYLOR, SR. DIED WED. MORNING

S. M. Taylor Sr., a life-long resident of Caldwell parish, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. F. L. Gregory in this city about 4 o'clock Wednesday morning. He was 61 years old at the time of his death.

The deceased is survived by his wife, four sons and three daughters -- all of whom were at the bedside when death occured. The sons are Lonnie Taylor, who resides in Dallas, Texas; S. M. Taylor Jr. and Marshal Taylor, of Oklahoma; and Perry Taylor of DeSota [sic DeSoto] parish. The daughters are Mrs. Leon Gregory of this city, Mrs. Tom Shipp of New Mexico; and Mrs. Clifford Peterson of Dallas, Texas.

Funeral services were in charge of Rev. J. D. Kitchingham, pastor of the Columbia Baptist church, and were held Wednesday afternoon. Interment took place in the Welcome Home cemetery near Grayson.
