Allen Williams

Funeral services for Mr. Allen Williams, age 36, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Dec. 23, in the First Baptist Church in Tallulah, with the Rev. Dennis Realford and the Rev. J. Fulton McGraw officiating. Burial followed in Silver Cross Cemetery in Tallulah.

Mr. Williams died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998 in the Glenwood Medical Center in West Monroe.

He was born and reared in Tallulah and lived his entire life here. He was a deacon at Parkview Baptist Church and was a police officer with the Louisiana DOTD Weights and Standards, Delta Scales. He was an avid hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Holmes Williams of Tallulah: two sons, Michael Henson and Phillip Henson, both of Tallulah: one daughter, Laura Williams of Tallulah: three grandchildren: his father, Renford Talbert Williams of Tallulah; and his stepmother, Ruby Williams of Tallulah.

Active pallbearers were David McEacharn, Bill Taylor, George Rogan Jr., George Chandler, Harold Bolton and Butch Dunning.

Honorary pallbearers were the employees of Delta Scales and employees of Tensas National Wildlife Refuge.

Crothers-Glenwood Funeral Home of Tallulah was in charge of arrangements.
