BREDEMEYER TALMADGE
BREDEMEYER, TALMADGE ``T.H.'' was born on Jan. 27, 1931 in Nolan Co., TX to Hugo and Zelma Bredemeyer. He passed away quietly in his sleep on Aug. 13, 2004.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Martha Jo and his son Tam, of Cedar Hill; two sisters, Katherine Jones of Lancaster, Ida Denney of Ruidoso, NM, and numerous other family and friends.
He graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1947 and SMU in 1964. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Sears & Roebuck as a buyer in the catalog division for 40 years until his retirement in 1987.
His family remains proudest of his service to his community. He was a past president, secretary-treasurer, and life member of the Lancaster Lion's Club, from which he also received the Melvin Jones Fellow for dedicated service. He was a past member of the Lancaster School and Library Boards and was a past president of the Lancaster Athletic Assoc. for whom he served as a little league coach for 13 years. He was a 48 year member of the First United Methodist Church of Lancaster where he held numerous leadership roles. His passions outside of these were fishing, hunting, camping, and cheering for his Cowboys and Rangers.
Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church of Lancaster, on Tues. Aug. 17th at 11:00 am with interment at DFW National Cemetery at 3:00 pm that afternoon. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-9 at funeral home.
