Services for Mr. Talmage E. Crain, 87, of Columbia were held at 2 p.m., Monday, April 10, 1995 from the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home in Columbia with Rev. Jeff Wyant and Rev. Larry Adkins officiating. Interment followed in the Old Union Cemetery west of Columbia.
Mr. Crain, the son of the late Lewis Cass and Eula Dunn Crain, was born on August 18, 1907 in Caldwell Parish and died Saturday, April 8, 1995 at the Citizens Medical Center in Columbia.
He was a retired millwright, a veteran of World War II and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Bobbie Johnson Crain of Columbia, his sons: Richard Crain of Montgomery, La. and Larry Crain of Houston, Texas, his daughters: Lynnie Barmby of Sacramento, California and Diane Erskins of Mississippi, his sisters: Velvan Hodges of Georgetown, Texas and S.L. DeLeon of Leesville, eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were James Strange, Danny Matthews, Richard S. Crain, Greg Parker, Craig Honeycutt and Paul Johnson.
