Tera Dukes McLain

PEARL, Mississippi -- Tera Dukes McLain, 86, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at St. Dominic/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Visitation is 10 a.m. today at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home in Jackson. Services are 11 a.m. today at the funeral home with burial in Rock Bluff Baptist Church Cemetery in Smith County.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan McLain and seven brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: her two sons, and daughters-in-law, Charles Michael (Mike) McLain and his wife Jeanette, who were her primary care-givers, and with whom she had lived with for several years. Dan Bennett (Ben) McLain and his wife Dianna; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She leaves one brother, Dr. Timon G. Dukes of Clinton; one sister, Polly Dukes Clark of Taylorsville; eight nieces and nephews, and numerous great and great great nieces and nephews.

She was a devoted mother and a retired Practical Nurse, having loved her work of caring for Nursing home patients.

Pallbearers will be Windell Neal, Monty Clark, Mark McNeese, Chuck McLain, Danny McLain and Al Reeves.
