Terry Becherer

SPRINGFIELD -- Terry M. Becherer, 86, of Springfield died at 11:45 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004, in Springfield.

Cremation was accorded. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln.

Inurnment of ashes will be in the church's columbarium in Lincoln.

He was born Nov. 20, 1918, in Tampa, Fla., to Francis Xavier and Florence Blackman Becherer. He married Margaret “Mickey” Boyett Feb. 15, 1948. She died Feb. 27, 2002. He later married Arlene Poulliard.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Terri Becherer of Los Angeles, Calif., and Sally Becherer of Springfield; one son, Thomas L. Becherer of Arlington, Va.; four stepchildren, Marcus (Mirtha) Poulliard of New Orleans, La., Donetta Braner of Springfield, Michelle (Ron) Hare of Girard and Emily Poulliard of Springfield; one grandson; four stepgrandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Carol) Becherer of Lincoln and Robert (Donna) Becherer of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

He owned Becherer's Jewelry in Hope, Ark., retiring to Lincoln in 1991.
