TERRY LEE WITT
November 8, 1949 - May 15, 2013
Terry Lee Witt 63 of Livingston, CA passed away on 05/15/2013 after fighting a 3 1/2 year heroic battle with pancreatic cancer.
Terry's request to remain at home was honored and he passed away with his family & beloved poodle “Niki” vigilant by his side.
He was born in Valley City, ND on 11/08/1949 moved to Modesto, CA as a child and remained in the area until his passing.
He was married to Kathleen Prince-Witt, his devoted wife of 33 years.
He is survived by his daughter Dawnovan Carson (Daniel), sons Zackary Witt (Heather), David McCullagh, Jason Doss (Karin), & eleven grandchildren, sister Pat Heckathorn, brothers Ernie Witt & Rodny Witt. His mother-in-law Virginia Prince provided much care and support in his final months as did his sons David and Jason which allowed him to remain at home as he wished.
Terry grew up with & remained close with his cousins Linda Lewis (Glen), Katie Nice (George) & Herold Reiker (Jackie).
Terry was a truck driver for the last 20 years & also did landscape & yard maintenance for Monte Cristo Mobile Home Park in Livingston until the year before he passed. He also resided at Monte Cristo & had many friends & neighbors as well as family who were very kind with prayers, encouragement & deeds throughout his battle with pancreatic cancer.
Per Terry's request there will be no service, but a private celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
Family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Bob McGrew & staff & Dr. Ringer & staff for their care & early diagnosis that may have allowed a longer than usual life with this type of cancer. The Family would also like to thank Hospice for their care & support.
Husband, Brother, Father, Grandfather, Friend to so many, now an angel to watch over us all. We love you dearly.
