THELMA HAWKINS EDWARDS BOURGEOIS
A retired D.H. Holmes saleswoman and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 3 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 13, 1998, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 84 and a native of Laurel, Miss. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday. Visiting at the funeral home chapel, 8:30 a.m. until religious services at 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by Dr. Burn Page.
Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alva Jack and Frances Edwards and Edgar Richard and Helen Edwards, all of Baton Rouge; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husbands, Alva Jack Edwards Sr. and Norman Joseph Bourgeois.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Mark, David and Stephen Edwards, James P. Hawkins and Carey Hawkins. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge. Memorial donations may be made to Cancer Services of Greater Baton Rouge, 550 Lobdell Ave., Baton Rouge, 70806.
