Services for Thelma Whittington Baroni, 78, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2000, in Wisner, La., will be at 2 p.m. today at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. E.L. Wright officiating.
Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation is from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Baroni was born March 28, 1922, in Natchez, the daughter of Feildon [sic Fieldon] and Sarah Eames Whittington. She was a member of Morgantown Baptist Church and was employed for many years at the Blue Bell garment factory.
Mrs. Baroni was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Anna Barlow and Velma Montela; and one brother, James Whittington.
Survivors include her husband, Joe J. Baroni of Natchez; two daughters, Mable Baroni Shelton of Sicily Island, La., and Dorothy Baroni Massey of Vidalia, La.; one son, Joseph C. Baroni of Natchez; four grandchildren, Michael Shelton, Kenneth Shelton, Joey Baroni and David Baroni; three great-grandchildren, T.J. Baroni, Joshua Shelton and Carley Shelton; and one sister, Lucille Steele of Vidalia.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth R. Shelton, Joseph C. Baroni Jr., David Baroni, Lloyd Steele, Johnny Massey and Michael W. Shelton.
