Theodore ``Buck'' McDaniel
Funeral services were held Friday, June 15 at 11:30 a.m. from the chapel of Jimerson Funeral Home for Mr. Theodore Buck McDaniel, 67.
Mr. McDaniel died Wednesday, June 13, at 8:23 p.m. at Schumpert Medical Center in Shreveport.
Services were officiated by Rev. O.L. Howard with interment in Antioch Cemetery.
Mr. McDaniel was born Nov. 11, 1916 and had been a life-long resident of Panola County. He retired after 32 years with United Gas Pennzoil working as a compressor operator. He was a U.S. Naval Veteran of World War II and was a member of the Carthage Masonic Lodge 521 AF and AM, the Carthage Eastern Star Chapter 747 and the American Association of Retired Persons. He was also a member of the Antioch Baptist Church of Panola County.
Mr. McDaniel is survived by his wife, Pauline McDaniel of Carthage; one son, Andrew McDaniel of Houston; three brothers, Herman McDaniel and Robert McDaniel, both of Carthage, and John W. McDaniel of Bowling Green, Ky.; four sisters, Ethel Garland and Amy Anderson, both of the Woods Community, Katie Garland of DeBerry and Annie Faye Jones of Carthage; one granddaughter, Margaret McDaniel of Houston; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Carl Campbell, Gene Campbell, Jake Campbell, Dee Davis, Rudolph Garland, Rayburn Green, Jimmy Jones and Russell McDaniel.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shriners Crippled Childrens Hospital or the American Cancer Society.
