Funeral Services for T. M. Hyde Here Friday Morning
Funeral services for Theodore Marion (Mack) Hyde, 76, prominent Mountain Home rancher who succumbed to a long illness Wednesday morning in Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital, will be held from the chapel of the Smith Funeral Home Friday morning at 9:00 o'clock with the Rev. P. B. Hill, retired Presbyterian minister of Hunt officiating, and assisted by Rev. Billy Wilks, pastor of the Ingram Baptist Church. Interment will be in the Sunset Cemetery near Mountain Home under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Nelson Hatch, James Holton, Owen Merritt, Roger Stone, Archie Lee, Ross Merritt, Warren Klein and Bill Dowdy.
Born in Wharton County December 14, 1877, Mr. Hyde moved to Kerr County and has resided in the Mountain Home Community where he has been a leading rancher for many years. He has been a resident of the county for more than seventy years.
His wife, Miss Carrie Emaline Hyde, died July 24, 1953.
Survivors include four children, Clarence Hyde of Mountain Home, Mrs. Burnett Lee of Hunt, Mrs. Chase Heffernan of Junction, and Mrs. Ervin Ahrens of Kerrville; two brothers, Arthur Hyde of Mt. Home and Walter Hyde of Mt. Home; two sisters, Mrs. Susie Jones of Mountain Home and Mrs. Annie Secrest of Uvalde. Ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also mourn his passing.
