GLOSTER -- Services for T.A. Jackson, 84, of Coles, who died Monday, July 20, 2009, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Reggie Forman, the Rev. Kent Campbell, the Rev. Cade Campbell and the Rev. Max Forman officiating.
Burial will follow at Roseland Cemetery under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home in Gloster.
Mr. Jackson was a lifelong resident of Coles. He was a graduate of Crosby High School, a long-time insurance salesman and a man who truly loved his church and family.
He was a member and trustee of Union Church and an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T.A. Jackson Sr. and Enna Jackson; and one sister, Martelle Taylor.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Pat Havard Jackson; two sons, T.A. Jackson III of Coles and Kenny Jackson and wife, Jenny, of Centreville; one daughter-in-law, Gail Campbell and husband, Kent, of Vicksburg; three grandchildren, Leslie Shultz and husband, Chris, of Morganton, N.C., Cade Campbell and fiancée, Amy Binns, both of Vicksburg and Jenae Jackson of Mobile, Ala.; two great-grandchildren, Peyton and Dawson Shultz, both of Morganton; two sisters, Yvonne Lane of Jackson and Kathleen Livingston of Baton Rouge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be W.R. Taylor Jr., Robert Taylor, Marty Taylor, nephews, Max Foreman, Brett Forman and Terry Short.
