AMMONS
THOMAS D. AMMONS, 58, a lifetime Houstonian, passed away July 19, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Survived by Diane Ammons, his wife of 21 years, son Paul (Krista) Ammons of Bella Vista, AR and daughter Heather (Steve) Deshotel of Sicily and two grandchildren; Skylar and Austin. Survived by sister, Annette (Wayne) Skrehot; sister-in-law, Rae Marie Ammons, both of Houston, TX, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents, Jesse and Virginia and brother Daniel Ammons.
For several years, Tom and Diane worked to better the lives of persons with mental illness. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a donation be made in Tom's name to the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 9:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25th at American Heritage Funeral Home. Services will be held Wednesday, July 26th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
