FREEMAN, THOMAS J. ``T.J.''

Died Monday, Jan. 11, 1988, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center. He was 74, a native of Meadville, Miss., and resident of Slaughter. He was a retired contractor.

Visiting at Hartman-Henderson Funeral Home, Brookhavene, Miss., 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Basil Wicker. Burial in Middleton Baptist Church Cemetery.

Survived by wife, Versie Mae Norris Freeman, Slaughter; three sons, Jimmy E. Freeman, Baker, Charles E. Freeman, Zachary, and Ronny L. Freeman, Baton Rouge; seven grandchildren; four sisters, Essie Taylor and Zelma Campbell, both of Natchez, Miss., Hazel Pellegrin, Vidalia, and Bessie Wilson, Gonzales; four brothers, Norman, Jewel Ray, C.D. Jr. and James Freeman, all of Natchez, Miss.; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by parents, C.D. Freeman Sr. and Lilly Freeman; and a brother, Sam Freeman.
