Funeral services for Thomas Lafayette Hawsey, a retired West Carroll farmer, age 86, of Pioneer, La will be 10:30AM Monday, February 19, 2007 at the New Hope Church of God, near pioneer, with Rev. Bob Schlemmer and Rev. Bill Duckworth officiating.
Interment will follow in the Unity emetery. Services are under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Oak Grove. The visitation Sunday will be 5:00PM - 9:00PM at the New Hope Church of God.
He is preceded in death by his wife: Letha Irene Guice Hawsey; parents: Allen Lafayette Hawsey and Barbara Cawthon Hawsey; brother: James Allen Hawsey; sisters: Alene S. Blakeney and Iva R. Johnson Maxwell.
Thomas is survived by his son: Thomas Larry Hawsey and wife Sheryl of Anderson, Indiana; son: Danny Lafayette Hawsey of West Monroe, Louisiana; daughter: Linda Sue Smith and husband Walter of Pioneer, Louisiana; son: Kenneth Ray Hawsey and wife Sherri of Sherwood, Arkansas; 5 brothers: Allen Hawsey Jr., Larry Mikel Hawsey, Walter Hawsey, Alvin Leon Hawsey, Ernie Hawsey; 5 sisters: Betty Lee Parker, Annette Morris, Doris Morgan, Margie Tinker, Corine Archer; 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be: Jerry Duckworth, David Duckworth, David Guice, Jimmy Copes, Lonnie Green, Huey Green. Honorary pallbearers will be: M.L. Hender son, Buford Eubanks, Todd Owens, Ralph Stephens.
