Thomas L. Jackson
GLOSTER -- Thomas Lamar Jackson, 72, of Gloster, the father of Brenda Ivey of McComb, who survives him, died May 25, 1988, in Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, La., after a brief illness.
Visitation will be 5-9 tonight in Brown's Funeral Home of Gloster and will continue there at 9 a.m. Thursday until services at 2 p.m. in Brown's chapel. The Rev. Reggie Foreman will officiate, and burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery north of Gloster.
Born April 14, 1916, in Gloster, Mr. Jackson was the son of Marshall Jackson and Edna Lusk Jackson. He was a carrier for the Enterprise Journal.
Other survivors include his wife, Claudia Jackson of Gloster; two sons and daughters-in-law, Rodney and Susan Jackson and Mike and Deidra Jackson, all of Gloster; four sisters, Lola Toney, Elsie Bass and Vada Arnold, all of Gloster, and Carnette Freeman of Liberty; and four grandchildren.
