Thomas Larry “Ted E.” Freeman

Thomas Larry ‘Ted E.’ Freeman, 67, of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2013 after a prolonged illness.

He was born in McComb, MS on March 7, 1947 to Thomas Carl and Mavis Dean Freeman. He was married to, Suzette Kleinpeter Freeman, the love of his life, for the last 37 years. Larry served two tours in the U.S. Navy as a radio operator aboard the USS Intrepid during the Vietnam War. After leaving the Navy, he became an accomplished small business owner. He established Welding Apparatus Repair before founding Advantage Personnel and Advantage Computer Services, and served on the board of directors of the Louisiana Staffing Association.

Larry spent his life serving others through his devotion to God, his dedication to his church, Bethel Temple Assembly of God, and through his businesses. He touched the lives of many people. He will be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.

In addition to his wife, Larry is survived by his sons, James Freeman of St. Louis, MO; David Freeman, his wife Dolly, and their daughter Hannah, of Houston, TX; and his stepdaughter Desha Dardenne, of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his sister, Mamie Smith, his brother, Randy Freeman, and his extended Kleinpeter and Advantage Personnel families.

The family will receive visitors at Bethel Temple Assembly of God, 12124 Airline Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Monday, August 12, from 9 a.m. until a memorial service at 11 a.m. celebrated by Pastor Bullard Jones.
