Final Rites Are Held Here For T. L. Fountain

Funeral services for Thomas Lester Fountain, lifetime resident of Taylor County was held June 17 at 11 a.m. in the Butler Baptist Church with the Rev. Walter R. Evans and the Rev. E. H. Dunn officiating. Interment was in the Butler Cemetery.

Mr. Fountain died at the Phoebie Putney Hospital in Albany, June 15. He had been ill for several days.

A native of Taylor County, He was the son of the late Thomas Jefferson and Lucine Daniel Fountain. Born in Reynolds, March 26, 1895, he was a member and deacon of the Butler Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Helen Gray Fountain of Butler; a son, Dr. Thomas Gray Fountain of Albany; a brother, A. J. Fountain of Reynolds; three sisters, Mrs. Rob Aultman and Mrs. Susan Woods of Reynolds and Mrs. L. M. Doyel of Butler and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ed Davis, Charlie C. Giles Sr., Jim Gibson, Wilson Jarrell, Grover Mott and Walter Suggs.
