Thomas N. Hinton, 82, of Soso, died Tuesday, March 18, 2008, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Richton.
Funeral services will held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel with burial will be in Union Line Cemetery in Jones County. The Rev. Chris Hinton will officiate.
He was retired from the insurance business and a member of First Baptist Church of Soso. He was a Mason and Shriner.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Josh and Jakie Hinton; brothers, J. C. Hinton, Roy Hinton, Ance Hinton, Herman Hinton, B. F. Hinton and C. H. (Red) Hinton; sisters, Ruth Garrett, Narine Moore and Geneva Delcombre [sic Delcambre].
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rebecca H. and Jake Spencer of Laurel and Debbie H. and Greg Ewen of Fairfield, Ohio; grandchildren, Melissa and Josh Thrash, Adam T. Ward, and Ben L. Ward; great-grandchildren, Abbie and Audrey Thrash, and Madison L. Ward; one brother, Jessie Hinton of Soso.
Pallbearers will be Adam Ward. Ben Ward, Josh Thrash, Kyle Warren, Josh Hinton, Neal Hinton and Dr. Ned Hinton.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. this evening at Memory Chapel Funeral Home in Laurel, which is in charge of the arrangements.
