T. SCOTT STRICKLAND
Funeral services for T. Scott Strickland, D.D.S., 76, of West Monroe, will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 19, 2005 in the chapel of Kilpatrick Funeral Home with the Rev. James Poole and the Rev. W. Spiller Milton officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
Dr. Strickland died Wednesday, March 16, 2005.
He practiced dentistry in West Monroe for 46 years.
Dr. Strickland, a 33rd degree Mason, was a Past Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana (1969) and a member of numerous Masonic lodges throughout Louisiana.
He was past president of the Louisiana Wild Turkey Federation and of Operation Game Thief. He served in the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Captain and was a decorated veteran of the Korean War serving as a foreward observer of an artillery unit.
Dr. Strickland is survived by his wife, Uella Lepine Strickland, daughter: Joy Elizabeth Strickland of Herndon, Virginia; sisters: Myrth Bankston, Mary Ann Stapp, Retta and her husband, the Rev. James Poole, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Calvin Folds, M.D., Randy Coates, Richard Norman, Carl Fatheree, Robert Joyner, Jim Smith, Woody Bilyeu and CharlesTraylor, II, Esq.
Honorary pallbearers will be his nephews, Robert, Richard, Roger, and Charles Lee, Roy, John and Paul Stapp, Jim and Martin Poole, Keith, Carl, Kirk, Kyle, Adam, Chris, Peter, Chuck and David Lepine, Mike and Kevin Phillips, James Naquin, Robert Erdos, and the Past Grand Masters of the Grand Lodge of the State of Louisiana.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday at Kilpatrick Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Louisiana Scottish Rite Foundation, 205 University Avenue, Monroe, LA. 71203.
