Thomas Sue Whittington
Thomas Sue Whittington, 54, of Liberty and formerly of Magnolia, died Feb. 1, 2004, at her residence near Liberty.
Services were 2 p.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Liberty, with the Rev. Jackie Moulder and the Rev. Jack Whittington officiating. Burial was in New Zion Cemetery near Liberty.
Ms. Whittington was born Feb. 12, 1949, in Pike County to Jordan ``Dud'' Ray Whittington and Claudia Dell Westbrook Whittington.
She was a homemaker.
Ms. Whittington was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jordan Ray Whittington; and a beloved son-in-law, Gary Wayne ``Bubba'' Decker Jr.
Survivors include her companion of 27 years, Charlie Wayne ``Root'' Etheridge of Liberty; two sons and daughters-in-law, John and Darlene Massey of Liberty, and Tony and Debbie Ginn of McComb; two daughters and a son-in-law, Miranda and Ronnie Stokes, and Michele Decker, all of Liberty; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Harry Whittington and Robert and Helen Whittington, all of McComb; a niece, Caroline W. Saylor of Vermont; two nephews, Derrick and Brent Whittington of McComb; nine grandchildren, Dawn, Ashley, John and Seth Massey, Jordan Decker and Ronnie Stokes, all of Liberty, and Ashley, Cindy and Booman Ginn of McComb; two stepgrandchildren, Rhonda and Dakota Decker of Liberty; a special niece, Tammy Etheridge of McComb; and special friends, Dana Jones, Lurlee Payne, Scarlet Bergeron, Shannon Grubbs and Carolyn Etheridge.
Pallbearers were Roger Sullivan, Barney Stevens, Shorty Simmons, Dewayne Etheridge, Brent Whittington and Derrick Whittington. Honorary pallbearers were Les Lambert and Thomas Chapman.
The family request donations be made to Horizon Hospice of McComb.
