JONES, THOMAS WALL

Died 1:20 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 1991, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 82, a native of Wall and a resident of Baton Rouge. He was a retired Fidelity National Bank and Hibernia National Bank vice-president with over 50 years of service, and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Visiting at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m. Monday, and 8 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 10 a.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Michael J. Moroney. Burial in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Survived by wife, George “Pretty” Wallace Jones, Baton Rouge; two nieces, Kathleen Jones Delaune, Baton Rouge, and Alice Wall Jones Tini, Philadelphia, Pa.; two nephews, Joseph T. Jones Jr., Baker, and James P. Hebert, Baton Rouge; great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives.

Pallbearers will be Thompson M. Wallace, Lawrence J. Delaune, Joseph T. Jones III, Roy Hebert, Thomas P. Hebert and Daniel Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be former officers and employees of Fidelity National Bank.

He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, Ushers Society, Knights of Columbus Msgr. Dominic Blasco Council No. 3298, Catholic High Men's Club and Alumni Club, the American Institute of Banking, the Camelot Club, the Baton Rouge Country Club, and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation.

Memorial donations may be made to Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, or the Catholic High School Foundation.
