Thomas Watson Hearn

SHREVEPORT - Services for Thomas Watson Hearn, Jr., of Shreveport will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, September 11, 1989 at Rose-Neath's Southside Chapel with the Rev. Benny Bond, Pastor of Willow Point Baptist Church officiating and the Rev. Fisk Ray, Minister to Senior Adults and Dr. George Hearn of Pineville, La. assisting. Officiating at Graveside Services at Forest Park West Cemetery will be Dr. Cliff Estes.

Mr. Hearn a native of Sarepta, La. and a Shreveport resident most of his life, died Thursday, September 7, 1989 at 11:30 p.m. at Schumpert Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mr. Hearn was a member of Willow Point Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon for many years He retired as Fire Captain of the Shreveport Fire Department after 25 years of service. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Watson Hearn, Sr. [sic Thomas Watson Hearn, Sr.] & one brother, Charles Hearn.

He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Mildred Cantrell Hearn of Shreveport; his mother, May Peters Hearn of Shreveport; three daughters, Jeanne Goodrich and husband, Charles of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Tommie Snyder and husband, Kenneth of Lufkin, Texas, Paula Jenkins and husband, Lee, of Shreveport; two brothers, Dr. George E. Hearn and wife, Gloria of Pineville, La., Dr. Robert E. Hearn and wife, Margie of Ruston, La.; six grandchildren, Jeffery Goodrich, Carla Goodrich and Corey Goodrich of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Jennifer Snyder and Justin Horne of Lufkin, Emelie Jenkins of Shreveport; two step-grandchildren, Trey Snyder of Lufkin, Brett Snyder of Shreveport; one aunt, Gladys Boyett of Shreveport; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers: Dr. O. K. Bailey, Jr., Turk Davis, Robert E. Hearn, Jr., Ray T. Jenkins, Nelson Raburn, L.B. Snead, Jack Webb, O.B. Williams, Jr.

Memorials may be made to Willow Point Baptist Church or The Leukemia Society of America in Metairie, La.
