Funeral services for Tina G. Clark 99, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 15, 2004 at Kilpatrick Funeral Home Chapel, West Monroe. Officiating will be Dr. David Uth, Rev. Mark Fenn, and Rev. W.A. Massey. Interment will be at Twin Cities Memorial Gardens, West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Clark was born September 25, 1904 in Calhoun, LA and died Monday, July 12, 2004 in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Clark retired from the Ouachita Parish school system after forty-three years of service. She served first as a teacher, then as a principal and later as supervisor of special services. Tina was actively in involved in the Tennison Sunday School class at First Baptist Church and the W.M.U. as long as her health permitted. She was a charter member of Bobashelas Book Club and active in the Western Pride Club for senior citizens. She held membership in state and national organizations for retired teachers.
Tina was preceded in death by a loving husband, Dan, after sixty-five years of happy marriage. He shared her love of gardening, travel, and sharing the bounty of their flowers and vegetables with neighbors and friends.
Tina loved life and lived every day to the fullest, finding beauty and wonderment in the workings of nature. She never ceased to be amazed at the kindness and generosity of family and friends.
Tina is survived by a large number of nieces and nephews and her three special caregivers (nieces) Joann Gulett, Patsy Golson, and Nellie Turner.
Pallbearers will be; Tommy Golson, Bill Walker, Clint Gulett, Cliff Gulett, Carey Brooks and Walter Bruce.
