Tom McDonald

Tom J. McDonald, 77, of Route 1, Inman, died at Mercy Hospital at Moundridge Tuesday following a lengthy illness.

Mr. McDonald was born Aug. 5, 1892 at Bentonville, Ark., and was married to Lena Walters in October, 1934, at Pine Bluff, Ark., and Mrs. McDonald died Sept. [sic May] 7, 1960. Mr. McDonald was a retired employee of Pierce Bow and Arrow Company.

Surviving are four daughters, including Mrs. Virginia Swanner of Inman, and six sons: Willie, Joplin, Mo., J. T., McPherson, Ray, Cecil and Willis of Fayetteville, Ark., and Tommy of California.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 14, at 1:30 p.m.; at the Ball and Son Chapel with Rev. David Sheppard officiating. Interment will be in the Frisco Cemetery at Severy, Kan., at 4:30 p.m. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ball and Son Funeral Home.
