JOHNSON, Tommy Joe
Our beloved Tommy Johnson passed away on January 11, 2007. He lived a wonderful 67 years full of love and family. Tom Johnson of Johnson's Oyster Company along with his father (Charles) made a major contribution to the Sonoma/Marin Agricultural Coastal Community with the family owned Oyster Farm of over 50 years. Johnson's Oyster was one of the first and largest oyster farms ever developed on the West Coast. Tom worked very hard every day of his life from running a company to being an active church member while helping troubled youth in the community. As a leader in the community Tom sponsored several little league teams. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Tom will always be remembered as a giving person. It was customary for Tom to help those in time of need. On many occasions he opened his home and his heart to children and families who needed a place to stay.
