William “Tommy” Lofton
(May 26, 1943 - August 26, 2013)

Funeral services for William “Tommy” Lofton, age 70, of Urania, will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 30, 2013 from the chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Olla with Bro. Jim Lofton and Bro. E.R. Johnson officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Olla.

Tommy was born May 26, 1943 to W.A. “Runt” and Dorgia Kilby Lofton in Urania and he passed from this life on August 26, 2013 at Hardtner Medical Center in Urania.

He worked for the LaSalle Parish Sheriff's Department for 27 years, of which, 9 of those years he was Chief of Police of Urania. He was a barber in Urania for 37 years and served as Police Juror for 6 years. Tommy loved his years as a barber and was a dedicated police officer for LaSalle Parish. He was preceded in death by his parents; two half-brothers: Guy Allen Lofton and Charles Lofton.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Darlene Lincecum Lofton; two sons: Tom Lofton and his wife Christy and Anthony Lofton and his wife Stacey; two grandsons: Ryan Cole Lofton and Matthew Lofton; granddaughter: Jennifer Lofton; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wayne Corley, Leland Guin, William Strain, David Cotton, Ryan Lofton, and Matthew Lofton.

Honorary Pallbearers will be K.P. Mauterer and Ben Jenkins.
