Woman, 31, dies from gunshot wound

A Pike County woman was found dead in her home early this morning from what appears to a be [a] self-inflicted gunshot wound, Pike County sheriff's officials said this morning.

Toni Lynn Cutrer Fusilier, 31, 1113 Old Liberty Road, was reportedly found lying across a bed in her home with a gunshot wound to the head.

Two deputies went to the address after receiving a 911 call from there.

According to sheriff's reports, four people were at the home when 911 the call was placed.

Pike County Coroner Percy Pittman said it appears that Fusilier shot herself below the the chin with a .3006-caliber rifle.

Toni Lynn Fusilier

Toni Lynn Cutrer Fusilier, 31, of McComb, died June 27, 2002, at her residence.

Visitation is noon today at Catchings Funeral Home in McComb until services there at 2 p.m. The Rev. Tracey Hipps will officiate. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery.

Mrs. Fusilier was the daughter of Paul Gordon Cutrer and Regina Louise Holmes Cutrer of the Thompson community.

She was a medical records secretary.

Mrs. Fusilier was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Alton Cutrer Jr. and her paternal great-grandfather, Alton Cutrer Sr.

Survivors include her parents; one son, Alton Trent Fusilier of McComb; and his father, Mac Fusilier of Baton Rouge, La.; one brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Maggie Cutrer of McComb; one sister, Jennifer Cutrer and friend, Brian Berberette, both of McComb; paternal grandmother, Bessie Freeman Cutrer of McComb; maternal grandparents, Elmer ``Buck'' Holmes and Peggy Bardwell Holmes of Summit; paternal great-grandmother, Julia Cutrer of McComb; two nieces, Kailey and Stormy Cutrer, both of McComb; one nephew, Blake Berberette of McComb; a special friend, Jason Gill and his family of McComb; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and loving friends.

Pallbearers will be Teddy Burchfield, David House, Lonnie Moak, Johnny Sullivan, Doug Rayborn, Drew Wallace and Joe Reeves. Honorary pallbearers will be Monica Hodges, Cindy Cutrer and Dana Lynn Lambert.
