Totsy Tylene Bouge
BONHAM -- Totsy Tylene Bouge, 85, went to her heavenly home Friday, April 17, 2009 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.
Mrs. Bouge was born June 8, 1923 in Brownwood, the daughter of Louis and Myrtle (Cason) Kirksey. Totsy married the love of her life, Alvin Bouge Sept. 20, 1952 in Ashdown, Ark. Alvin was in the military and they lived for years in Germany. She always treasured her travels with her family around Europe and Germany. Totsy was always proud that she won the Penmanship Award in cursive in school and proud she had beautiful handwriting throughout her life. She enjoyed to feed and watch the birds, especially her red birds and blue jays that she always kept food and suet out for all the time. Totsy had a wonderful green thumb and could revive any plant that she touched and had the most beautiful display of Irises and tulips every spring. She was a wonderful homemaker and had a great love for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the light of her life and they affectionately called her ``Nanny.'' Totsy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Mrs. Bouge is survived by her loving family, son, Don Sperry and daughter-in-law, Marsha of Pledger; daughter, Toya McEwen and husband, Eddie of Sherman, and son Dan Bouge of Sherman; grandchildren, Crystal Fry, Teresa Hall, Ashley Bridwell, Andrea Ganow, Josh Bouge, Calab Bouge, John Bouge, Deanna Long, Cody Sperry, Kirk McEwen, Michael McEwen, Jody McEwen and Marshall Hill; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Peggy Jean McLeod of Burleson, Jewel Dennis and husband, Tommy of Bonham, and Roxie Blankenhogen and husband Elmer of Manhattan, Kan., and numerous nieces and nephews.
Totsy was preceded in death by her parents, beloved husband, Alvin, sister, Fawn ``Moot'' Wagnon, brother, LA Kirksey and her twin brother, Rocky Kirksey.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 20, 2009 at Jenkins Springs Cemetery. There is no set time for family visitation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home, located at 604 W. Main in Denison.
