Travis Payton Brown, 72, of Colmesneil, passed away, Monday, March 6, 2017 at his residence.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 4 p.m. at Sand Hill Cemetery in Colmesneil. Officiating will be Brother Shaun Sifford. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Brown, Kirk Brown, Glen Brown, Eli Dinger, Isaac Dinger and Rodney Smith.

Travis was born February 6, 1945 to Henry Payton & Iva Butler Brown in Colmesneil, Texas. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed logging the woods and caring for his emu farm. He especially enjoyed bass fishing on Lake Sam Rayburn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Payton Brown & Iva Gray; brother, James Harold Brown; and sister, Eloise Brown.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Evone Brown of Colmesneil; daughters, Angela Matterson of Colmesneil, Amy Dinger & husband, Troy of Colmesneil, and April Langan & husband, Chris of Austin; brother, Kenneth Brown & wife, Joyce of Colmesneil; sister-in-law, Jackie Brown; grandchildren, Payton Clotiaux & husband, Jaylon, Sam Matterson, Eli Dinger, Avery Langan, Isaac Dinger, Douglas Dinger, Ilah Langan, Frannie Langan, Phin Langan, and Jed Dinger; great granddaughter, Sawyer Clotiaux; and numerous nieces & nephews.
