Tressie Mae Thomas Arinder

Services for Tressie Mae Arinder, 86,who died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at her residence in Morton, were held Friday, March 11, 2005, at Ott Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Morton with burial in Floral Hills Cemetery in Pearl. The Revs. Tommy Anderson and Ricky Lathem officiated.

Mrs. Arinder was a native of Tyler, Texas and had been a resident of Morton since the 1950s. She was a member of North Morton Baptist Church.

Mrs. Arinder was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Arinder, one son, Floyd Kenneth Arinder and one daughter, Maudie Ruth Arinder.

Survivors include four daughters, Ruby Fay Pope of Morton, Mary Frances Shoemaker of Brandon, Floyd Imojean (Jean) Benton of Pearl and Helen Grace May of Florence; two sons, Roger Clayton Arinder of Roseville, Calif. and Danny Clay Arinder of Forest; four sisters, Helen Boone of Hattiesburg, Christine Thornton of Hattiesburg, Lula D. Cox of Laurel and Annie Merle Mathis of Petal; one brother, Earl Thomas of Hattiesburg; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Anthony Pope, Tony Benton Jr., Jackie May, Scottie May, Johnny Shoemaker and Michael Arinder. Honorary pallbearers were Ken Benton, Tim Benton and Chris Arinder.
