Troy McMurry, 78

WINNFIELD, La. -- Troy Lee McMurry, 78, of Winnfield died at 4:45 a.m. Sunday in a hospital here. He was a deacon of Lakeside Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Linnie McMurry of Winnfield; a daughter, Beverly McMurry of Shreveport; a step-daughter, Mrs. W.E. Anderson of San Diego, Calif.; three foster daughters, Mrs. Kees Dixon of Bossier City, Mrs. Beth Bearden of Barbosville, Va., and Mrs. Lillian Fletcher of Virginia; four brothers, Arthur McMurry of Winnfield, Albert McMurry of Goodpine, Homer McMurry of Monroe, and Elmo McMurry of Natchez, Miss.; four sisters, Mrs. O.W. Allen, Mrs. David Nixon, and Mrs. Parker Long, all of Winnfield, and Mrs. F.C. Turner of Hallsville, Tex., and 10 grandchildren.

Services were held at 1 p.m. today in Southern chapel, with Rev. Roy Moore and Rev. Louis Skinner officiating. Burial was in Forest Park Cemetery.
