MRS. W. R. LEWIS

Funeral services for Mrs. W. R. (Trudie) Lewis, 48, Heidelberg, were held Monday, 10 a.m. from Palestine Baptist Church, with burial in church cemetery.

The Rev. Grover Laird officiated, assisted by the Rev. Larry Speed and the Rev. Mr. Rester.

Mrs. Lewis, who had been a former telephone operator with Southern Bell Telephone Company died Saturday in a Hattiesburg hospital, following a long illness.

She is survived by her husband, William R. Lewis, Heidelberg; mother, Mrs. Dent W. Smith, Montrose; two sisters, Mrs. Martin A. Stamper, Montrose; Mrs. Edward E. Talbert, Mobile, Ala., and one brother, Truman L. Smith of Mobile.

Serving as pallbearers were Lavon Smith, Amos McCarty, Johnny Smith, Charles Stringer, Billy Donovan and Winford Loper.

Memory Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
