Trudye Hollingsworth

Funeral services for Trudye Elvira Cooksey Hollingsworth, 90, were held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, May 18, 1989, from the Sharron Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. Hilton Moore and Elder Winford Hollingsworth officiated. Interment was made in the Sharron Cemetery in Newton County.

Mrs. Hollingsworth passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 1989, at the Rush Hospital in Newton. Prior to her retirement she was employed by Ott & Lee Insurance for 45 years. She had lived in Newton County for most of her life. She was a member of the Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church in Newton.

Preceded in death by husbands, Floyd Kelly and J. H. Hollingsworth, and by a son Travis H. Kelly, survivors include one son, Rev. James A. Kelly; and one brother, Clyde Cooksey of Lake; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Melvin Cooksey, Jimmy Cooksey, Carey Kelly, Chris Kelly, Tommy Blackwell, and Robert Kelly.

Ott & Lee Funeral Home in Forest was in charge of the arrangements.
