LAUREL -- Services for Truett George McCarty will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in Union Line Cemetery.
Mr. McCarty, 84, of Meridian, formerly of Stringer, died Friday, Aug. 18, 2006, at Poplar Springs Nursing Center. He was retired from Inland Container Co.
Survivors include his son, Steve McCarty of Hattiesburg; his daughter, Judy Lauderdale of Meridian; his brother, Daryl [sic Dariel] McCarty of Stringer; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Visitation will be Monday one hour prior to the services.
