Truth N. Buffington
Truth Naomi Buffington, 77, of 4495 Bark Hill Road, Union Bridge, Md., died Thursay, Jan. 17, at her residence.
Born Nov. 6, 1924 in Fountain Valley, Md., she was a daughter of the late J. Wilbur and Mary Koons Harman. She was the wife of Ralph E. Buffington for 47 years.
Mrs. Buffington was a graduate of New Windsor High School. She had worked for Koontz Realty, Drug Fair, and Thunderhead Bowling Lanes, all in Westminster, Md.
Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Kay King of Gardners; two sons, Ray Mullican of Union Bridge, Md. and Gay Jerome Mullican of Elkhorn, Ky.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one sister, Erma Stultz of Fort Myers, Fla.
She was pre-deceased by one son, Jay W. Mullican; one grandson, Ray Mullican II; two sisters, Thelma Melown and Murial Rungo; and two brothers, Eugene Harman and Carl Harman.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Jan. 21, at 11 a.m. at the Hartzler Funeral Home, 310 Church St., New Windsor, Md., with the Rev. Richard L. Michael, pastor of St. James Lutheran Church, Union Bridge, Md., officiating. Interment will be in the Pipe Creek Cemetery, near Linwood, Md.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, Jan. 20, from 7 to 9 p.m. and also on Monday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
