U. A. HARVESTON

COLUMBIA, June 7 (Special) -- U. A. Harveston, 88, a resident of Grayson, died Tuesday in a local hospital, and was buried Thursday.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Old Bethal [sic Bethel] Baptist church with the Rev. J. B. McCann officiating. He was assisted by the Rev. Cast Crane [sic Cass Crain]. Interment followed in the Old Bethal [sic Bethel] Cemetery under the direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Harveston, Grayson; three daughters, Mrs. J. D. McCann, Epps, Mrs. E. E. Howard, Hebert, and Mrs. C. D. Lively, Columbia; and four sons, E. L. Harveston, Grayson, Leroy Harveston, Hebert, J. E. Harveston, Scotia, Calif., and W. B. Harveston, Winnsboro; and 28 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
