V. A. CURREY [sic CURRY]

TALLULAH, March 2 (Special) -- V. A. Currey [sic Curry], 74, resident of Madison Parish for almost 16 years died at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Charon in Delhi Monday after a short illness.

Services were held from the Tallulah Baptist Church Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Roger Johnson, pastor of the Central Baptist Church in Monroe officiating.

Burial followed in the Silver Cross Cemetery under the direction of Crothers Funeral Home of Tallulah.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Currey [sic Curry], Tallulah; two sons, Vernon of Natchez, Miss., Alton A., Greenville, South Carolina; three daughters, Mrs. Bill Ames, Lake Providence, Mrs. W. T. Dowe, Delhi; Mrs. Joe Charon, Delhi; six grandchildren; four brothers, Sam, Winnfield, P. T., Columbia, Alfred, Columbia, Ferlot, of Monroe; one sister, Mrs. Lillie Crowell, Columbia.

Pallbearers were Carsie Lott, Jessie Graham, Harrison Graham, C. C. Carter, Jack Allen, C. O. Neighbors, L. C. Byrd, and Albert Walker.
