Vada Montgomery
STAR CITY -- Vada Montgomery, 87, of Star City died Monday at Star City Nursing Center.
She was born Dec. 9, 1919, at Palmyra, a daughter of the late James Franklin Anderson and Myrtle Conner Anderson.
She was a homemaker and member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church at Palmyra.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Montgomery of New Mexico; one daughter, Jackie Craig of Fayetteville; two brothers, Treavor Anderson of Pine Bluff and Roy Anderson of Monticello; one sister, Jean Davis of Fordyce; and one grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Montgomery, and numerous brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Griffin Funeral Service at Star City with John Marlar and Onas Gray officiating. Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
