Vada J. Arnold
Vada Jackson Arnold, 87, of Gloster, died July 16, 2000, at her residence.
Visitation continues from 1 p.m. today at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Gloster, until services there at 2 p.m. Bro. Gary Bowlin and Bro. Keith Zachary will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Brown Funeral Home of Gloster is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Arnold was born Feb. 4, 1913, in Amite County. She was the daughter of Robert Marshall Jackson and Edna Lusk Jackson.
She was a retired sewing machine operator with the Kellwood Co., and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Daniel Webster Jackson; second husband, Walton Arnold; one son, Robert Monette Jackson; and one grandchild, Robert Monette Jackson Jr.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Lee Jackson and Janelle Jackson of Liberty; six grandchildren, Lawanda Jackson Jones of Liberty, Angela Jackson of Los Angeles, Robert Leroy Jackson of Baton Rouge, La., Mickey Ann Hollinsworth of Gloster, Samuel Monette Jackson of Madison and Edna Jackson Murray of Crosby; one sister, Lola Toney of Gloster; six great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
