Valeria Pearl Rexroat
Valeria Pearl Rexroat 78, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 5, 2007, where she joined her beloved husband, Jessie Orval Rexroat, who preceded her in 1999.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Gordon with the Rev. Jim Andrews officiating.
Burial: New Gordon Cemetery.
Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Pearl was born Jan 12, 1929, in Petersburg. She lived most of her early life in Mingus and Gordon and graduated from Gordon High School. Pearl and Orval were married Feb. 14, 1947, and spent the first part of their marriage among family and friends in Gordon. In 1960 they moved to Eastland, where they became active participants in the community and at Bethel Baptist Church. In March of last year Pearl moved to Parmer Woods assisted living in Austin, just minutes from her sister, Frances.
Pearl was a devoted wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Pearl was also preceded in death by her parents, Rome and Frankie Vasek Thrailkill; infant brother, Robert Wesley Thrailkill; and infant daughter, Jill Ann Rexroat.
Survivors: Her loving daughter, Jana Peters and husband, Steve, of Houston; loving son, Randy Rexroat and wife, Helen, of Colleyville; devoted sister, Frances Lowe and husband, Jim, of Austin; and many other relatives and friends. The light of Grandma's life were her grandchildren, Brandon Rexroat and McKellie Rexroat.
