Vanchie Lee (Wright) Reisor
December 18, 1922 - November 26, 2012
Vanchie was born December 18, 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Dolly and Jesse W. Wright Sr. She passed away peacefully November 26, 2012 in Dallas, Texas.
Vanchie, or “Skeeter” as she was known in Tyler, was an active member of the First Christian Church of Tyler, and a Den Mother for her son's Cub Scout Pack. A graduate from Baylor University with a Bachelors Degree in Business, she was a loving homemaker most of her life. Vanchie loved working crossword puzzles and had a passion for jewelry. She briefly owned her own antique store in Tyler and enjoyed trips to Canton for First Monday.
Vanchie was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Wade Reisor, parents and two siblings, Jesse W. Wright Jr. and Betty Jane Vollmer.
She is survived by her children, Deacon Kenneth Reisor and his wife Susan, and Deborah G. Meals and her husband Bobby; grandchildren, Stephanie Reisor Moon, Christopher Reisor, Emily Reisor, Melissa Meals Lampard and Meredith Meals Kane; 8 great grandchildren and 4 nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, November 29, 2012 at the Chapel of Sparkman/Crane Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. John Libone. A Graveside service will follow at 3:00 pm at the Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
