Services for Vann L. Pratt will be Wednesday, November 26, 2003, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Clyde Fant officiating. Interment will be at Pines Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kilpatrick Funeral Home of Ruston.

Mr. Pratt, 88, died November 24, 2003 at Lincoln General Hospital, Ruston, LA, following a long illness.

Mr Pratt was born on August 3, 1915 in Bernice, Louisiana. He was educated in Bernice and is a graduate of Louisiana Tech. After completing 4 years of service as a Captain during World War II, he worked for the Internal Revenue Service for 14 years. In 1952 he became a self-employed business man and worked as a tax advisor in this area for thirty-nine years.

He was a member of First Baptist Church for fifity-one years, serving as general secretary of the Sundy School and the financial committee for many years.

Mr Pratt was preceded in death by his parents, Lawton and Daucie Pratt.

Survivors include his wife, Mignon Terral Pratt of Ruston; his daughters, Cherry Kirkpatrick and husband Vance of Nairobi, Kenya and Carolyn McFarland of Denver, CO; grandchildren, Cara Phillips and husband, Mark of Morogoro, Tanzania, Kyle Kirkpatrick and wife Jackie of Skopje, Macedonia and Jeffery McFarland and wife Jennifer of Madison, Wisconsin, eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, James Walter Pratt and wife Ola of Dallas, TX and John Paul Pratt of Madisonville, LA.

The family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church, Ruston or to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, 710 W. 168th St., New York, NY, 10032

Pallbearers will be Billy Pratt, John Pratt, John Rabb, Thomas Terral, Danny Terral, Kendall Terral, Caskey Terral and Charles Alexander.

Visitation will be at Kilpatrick Funeral Home on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
