Vara S. Womack

Funeral services for Vara S. Womack, 82, of Winnsboro, were held on Sept. 23, in the Chapel of Winnsboro First National Funeral Home.

Interment was in Crowville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev. Frances Williams and the Rev. John Williams officiating.

A native of Winn Parish, she was born Feb. 14, 1906. She was a housewife and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She died on Sept. 21, 1988.

Survivors include three daughters, Evolene Chapman, Winnsboro, Lynette Billiot, Monroe, Bobbie Steiner, Temple Terrace, Fla.; two sons, Curtis ``Jack'' Womack, Iowa Park, Texas and Marvin Womack, Crowville; three sisters, Pauline Riser, Winnsboro, Mary Henry, West Monroe, Arzell Head, Start; two brothers, Malvin Antley, West Monroe and William ``Buddy'' Antley, Bossier City; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.

Grandsons and great-grandsons served as pallbearers.
