Funeral services for Evolene Chapman, 86, of Winnsboro, LA will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Winnsboro on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at 2:00 PM with Bro Cory Bruce, Bro Don Blackmon, and Tony Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young's Community Memorial Funeral Home in Winnsboro.
Vara Evolene Chapman was born September 11, 1923 in Gilbert, LA and passed away Saturday September 12, 2009 at Charlyn Nursing Home in Winnsboro. She was a resident of Winnsboro, a Nurses Aid, and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was preceded in Death by:
Husband-Thomas J. Chapman
Father-William Samuel Womack
Mother-Vara Susie (Antley) Womack
Brother-Jack Curtis Womack

3 sons-Roger Chapman and wife Belinda of Winnsboro, LA
Marvin Chapman and wife Kathy of Winnsboro, LA
Thomas Chapman and wife Jane of Sicily Island, LA
2 Daughters-Nelda Morse of Winnsboro, LA
Susie Martin and husband Elvon of Winnsboro, LA
2 sisters-Lynetta Billiot of Crowville, LA
Bobbie Womack of Chattanooga, TN
Brother-Marvin Womack and wife Evelyn of Crowville, LA
Sister in law-Billie Womack of Iowa Park, TX
numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends
She was also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 13 great-great grandchildren.
The Pallbearers will be Michael Varnado, James Varnado, Allen Martin, Chris Martin, Derrick Chapman, and Dakota Tarver.
The Honorary Pallbearers will be Deacons of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends at Oak Grove Baptist, Winnsboro from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2009. Any memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church and Gideons International.
