Vassar R. Patton

COLUMBIA (Special) -- Funeral services for Vassar R. Patton, 61, of Columbia were to be at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Riser and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Dorris Dearman officiating.

Burial was to be in Welcome Home Cemetery.

Mr. Patton died Tuesday night in the Haven Nursing Home after an illness of several months.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Retha Patton of Columbia; two daughters, Mrs. Benny McGuire of Columbia and Mrs. Lessley Gardner of Naples, Italy; a sister, Mrs. Gladys Lively of Columbia; and two granddaughters.
