Vaudie M. Gates

Funeral services for Vaudie M. Gates, 70, of Crowville were held Thursday at Community Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Davis and the Rev. Marion Collier officiating.

Interment followed at Crowville Masonic Cemetery near Crowville under the direction of Community Memorial Funeral Home of Winnsboro.

Mrs. Gates died Tuesday, April 26, 1994 at St. Francis Medical Center in Monroe after an extended illness. She was a resident of Crowville, bookkeeper with the office of Dr. Joel Eldridge and retired bookkkeeper of Hatfield Hardware and Lumber Co. in Winnsboro.

Survivors include her husband, Clyde Gates, Crowville; one sister, Audrey Fox, Crowville; also a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were Dr. Joel Eldridge, Sharon Wroten, Bobby Wroten, Mitch Reynolds, Jimmy Reynolds and Bobby Posey.

Honorary pallbearers were Glenn Pearrow, Mike Wroten, Wyndell Wroten, Richard Stokes, and Roy Thomas.
